The Complete Jewish Bible

 

The Complete Jewish Bible, translated by David H Stern, is a very interesting Bible, which is very useful to both Christians and Jews.

It reconnects Christians with their Jewish roots and the Jewish people.

It connects Jews with the Jewishness of Messiah Yeshua and Messianic faith.

It shows that the Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation, is a unified Jewish book meant for everyone - Jew and non-Jew alike.

It follows the Tanakh order of the books with which Yeshua was familiar, straight into the B'rit Hadashah   ("new testament")  books without an artificial break.  

It corrects mistranslations in the new testament which resulted from a Replacement Theology bias.   

It offers the original Hebrew names for people, places and concepts using easy to read transliterations.  

It gives traditional weekly and holiday readings, with relevant B'rit Hadashah (new testament) readings.

David Stern's Jewish New Testament Commentary is the perfect complement to the Complete Jewish Bible (New Testament)

It will not replace every other commentary that has gone before, but it provides all those Jewish insights into the New Testament that other commentators usually miss.
