Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour. Matthew 8 v13
As discussed in Healing, healing is something that is available to us by faith; not by works or by our own merit. However, faith (or trusting or faithfulness) is a way of living and involves action on our part. This page contains a collection of thoughts, tips and faith actions that may be required of us as we wait for our healing.
Remember that seeking the Healing that Jesus suffered to give you is a faith walk; not a "nine steps to being healed" self help guide.

Are you a Christian?
Have you repented and been born again and living in a relationship with Jesus? This is far more important, eternally, than being healed from any disease that can only kill you once! Sort this out first. (Becoming a follower of Jesus)
Check for fixable causes
Make sure you are not nursing sin or unforgivness; sort it out if necessary!
You might check out 1 Corinthians 11 around v30 for a link between sickness, death and our attitude towards the Lord's supper.
Make sure you are not abusing your body with your lifestyle or diet. Rectify abuses first.
If we suffer doubt and fear about our health, perhaps we should take one saint's advice and, "Talk to ourselves more and listen to ourselves less".
The Bible does not prohibit us visiting the doctor; but it does give us the warning story of King Asa, who consulted the doctors but did not consult God. He died of his illness! The woman with a haemorage suffered much at the hands of doctors but was healed when she consulted Jesus.
Medical Opinions
If the doctor has the worst news; do not accept it as a death sentence! Fiona Castle says, "Cancer is a word; not a sentence."
It may help put an illness like cancer into context if you regard it as an invasion from Satan that has no right on the territory of Jesus the Messiah. (2 Kings 19 v20-37)
"Don't let Satan take you out before your time" said Christine Darg. There are few enough of us Christian Zionists as it is, and the work is great.
Talk to your pastor
Unless you find him (her) unbelieving in the healing message within the Gospel, he will be able to encourage and assist you.
Ask him to visit to anoint you with oil - James 5 v14
Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
Build up your faith
Seek out other believers who will stand with you, believing for healing and encourage you.
Be wary of Christians who will pray mournful, defeatist, unbelieving prayers over you.
Read this little book, "Healed of Cancer" the testimony of Dodie Osteen. ISBN 0-912631-33-3
Study the Bible for stories and teachings on healing - use a concordance or Bible search software. Praise Jesus and our heavenly Father using the scriptures. (He called himself YHVH Rofe; the LORD your healer )
Read your Bible plenty and cherish whatever words the LORD gives you. These words can keep you going when doubt or discouragement strike. (this is a spiritual battle, so expect attacks) You might like to capture the word and keep it handy.
Talk with Jesus about your grasp on faith for Healing. Seek his encouragement when/if discouragement strikes and you feel your faith is faltering, until your healing is manifest. Remeind yourself of the time when Peter was walking on the water and found himself sinking!
As you pray, quote scriptures to your Heavenly Father. He will enjoy that and you will grow your faith. Give glory to Jesus in your prayers. Give thanks for progress so far.
If you want a reminder of a special word from the LORD, that you need to hold on to, like the picture above, download our customisable version of this picture, that has space for your "word." (Right click here - customisable picture and click "Save Link as") , Then, use Photoshop or the GIMP to insert " your" word. Then get it printed to carry in your Bible, hang on the wall, have as your computer wallpaper or wherever helps you.
(The Hebrew is Exodus 15 v26, "I am ADONAI your healer." ) A higher resolution version is available on request.
Listen to teaching on Healing as often as necessary.
Seek out Christine Darg's teaching TV shows (Speaking to the Mountain) on www.exploits.tv and her teaching materials , also listen to Thurman Scrivner www.tlsm.org on the Internet.

As you go along
Different people receive their healing in different ways. You must walk your own path with Jesus. Healing may not be quick. Some people have been led to set a date for their healing; it focusses their faith.
Remember; praying to God and speaking to your illness are different things. God and Satan are not on a party line! You can plead with God but you must command the sickness. Do not show doubt or diffidence. You do not have to persuade the sickness to leave; you have the authority of Jesus the Messiah to order it to leave!
Notice how much you impact the lives and faith of others along the way!
God might want you to share your faith (in salvation and in healing) before you receive your healing.
Jesus must receive the glory, and how can this happen if nobody knows what is happening?
Be prepared to stick your neck out and be thought stupid, simple, unsophisticated! The mustard seed faith required for moving mountains is found more often in children than in adults.
Everybody, from Peter onwards, who has performed a healing in Jesus' name had to stand up on one first occasion and call for a healing without any guarantee of a result!
Resist
You need to exercise your faith by resisting sickness and its symptoms; and resisting your doubts. (Speaking to the Mountain on Healing page)
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4 v7
Don't take to your bed, but go on serving the LORD. You will be blessed as you pray healing for others.
Step out
Especially if symptoms attack you before a meeting or assignment, resist. (The symptoms are sent to stop you ministering or receiving what the LORD has for you) Defy the symptoms and set out anyway. Christine Darg and her team have many testimonies of having to drag themselves out to start, only to be healed on the way.
Jewish tradition holds that the Red Sea did not part until the first man stepped in to it. ( they say that his name is even recorded)
Testify to it before the body of believers!
Remember to thank (and thus encourage) those whose ministry has helped you along the way.
Testifying publicly to your healing will cement the miracle in your faith and in your mind so that you will not later minimise the miracle and wonder if perhaps there wasn't a sickness in the first place.
Great faith is the product of great fights. Great testimonies are the outcome of great tests. Great triumphs can only come out of great trials. - Smith Wigglesworth
The LORD bless you and keep you.
The LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
